2 Nephi 11-25 - "persuade...to believe in Christ"

Have you ever struggled reading the Isaiah chapters? Nephi says that he "delights" in Isaiah's words because they persuade people to come closer to Christ. 2 Nephi 6-10 - "the Mighty God shall deliver his people"

To a Nephite crown who has just been forced out of their homes (again), Nephi's brother Jacob preaches the "great plan of our God" and the details the Lord's rescue of His people. 2 Nephi 1-5 - "encircled about eternally"

This week we study Lehi's blessings to his sons with special guest Art Olivas of the wonderful EstudioEn15 podcast. As we examine what truths Nephi draws upon to strengthen him in dark times we look at truths that can do the same for us. What can we learn about or from the Lord that helps us when we may feel "encompassed about" with trials and temptations (2 Nephi 4:18) but want to feel "encircled about" with the Lord's love and righteousness (2 Nephi 1:15; 4:33).

1 Nephi 16-22 - "leadeth me by the way"

We know, based on the last few weeks of study in the Book of Mormon, that the Lord promises blessings for obedience to His commandments. This week we study just how the Lord leads us to those promised blessings. And, as with all other studies in the scriptures, the more we can recognize His actions in others' lives the more we see His hand in our own.

As Nephi, fresh from hearing his father's vision and revelation, seeks his own witness he is shown God's love both in the manifestation of Jesus Christ as in His extension of power and protection across generations of history.
