Romans 1-6 - Righteousness
Monday Aug 05, 2019
Monday Aug 05, 2019
On his final missionary journey, headed to a city he had never visited, Paul wrote one of the most thorough, logical, and powerful epistles about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Of central concern for him is the topic of grace. Study with us this week as we learn from Paul how God's grace and Jesus' righteousness can free us from sin and help us walk in a "newness of life."

Acts 22-28 - Ship

Monday Jul 29, 2019
The record of Paul's mission ends in front of governors and kings who, for one reason or another, don't heed his testimony. Why not? Why don't they, and why don't we heed the voice of apostolic warning more often? This final study in the Acts of the Apostles brings us face to face with our own obedience to commandments and challenges us to listen to our own, modern-day apostles and prophets.

Acts 16-21 - Known
Monday Jul 22, 2019
Monday Jul 22, 2019
Paul stands up to preach in Athens next to a statue with the inscription, "To the Unknown God." Paul, in a stroke of typical sermonizing genius, tells the gathered Greeks just exactly who the unknown God is, the one that they are ignorant of, and the one he has come to love and worship. This week we study that same God and discuss what we know about him and how we come to know about him.

Acts 10-15 - Reveal
Monday Jul 15, 2019
Monday Jul 15, 2019
We believe . . . that God will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God, right? In this episode we study the monumental revelation given to Peter and learn, not only what that revelation means for us, but what the whole process illuminates about the way modern revelation works, but for us individually and for the Church as a whole.

Acts 6-9 - Chosen
Monday Jul 08, 2019
Monday Jul 08, 2019
Just what kind of person does God choose for his service? This week we study disciples ranging from the stalwart Stephen to the radically antagonistic Saul, both of whom God chooses to spread the gospel. As we study we look at ourselves and learn lessons for ourselves on how we can choose and be chosen.

Acts 1-5 - Apostle
Monday Jul 01, 2019
Monday Jul 01, 2019
Luke, of course, wrote the Gospel of Luke wherein he detailed in great literary style Jesus' ministry. Luke also wrote the Acts of the Apostles to highlight how that ministry changed the lives and spiritual capacities of his apostles. Study with us this week as we see how people, like Peter the apostle, who have been changed by Christ now turn to changing the world.

Sunday Jun 23, 2019
Over the past months we've come to know and love Jesus more as we've studied his teachings, his example, and his sacrifices for his disciples. Now, in this last episode in the gospels, we study his resurrection, his interactions with his disciples, and his commandments to them as they move forward in faith. We testify all the time that Jesus lives; in this episode we confirm that truth and discuss what exactly it means to us. Know him; love him; and tell others about him.

Everyone from Pilate to the soldiers to the Jews of the day were focused on the kingship of Jesus Christ. Pilate asked him if he was a king; the soldiers mocked him by putting a crown of thorns on his head; the Jews refused to accept him. Even the sign above his head on the cross read "King of the Jews." This week we study Jesus' final mortal acts as King. As we "view his death" we focus on those aspects of his final hours that "draw" us to him and make us want to accept him as our King!
